South Moravia boasts a warm and temperate climate, perfect for hiking, biking, and sightseeing. The average annual temperature hovers around 10°C (50°F), with warm summers and mild winters. Precipitation is relatively low, with an average of around 500 mm (20 inches) per year.

You can look forward to sunny days whether you visit Brno in the summer months, when temperatures climb above 25°C (77°F), or in the spring and autumn, when the weather is pleasantly warm and ideal for strolling through vineyards and picturesque villages. Winters in South Moravia are short and mild, with average temperatures around 0°C (32°F). Snow is rather exceptional.

The Czech Republic is a member of the EU and its currency is the Czech koruna (crown). You can pay by card or exchange money at currency exchange offices. You will find the current exchange rate at the Czech National Bank website ČNB.

Citizens of the EU, Iceland, Norway, Liechtenstein, Switzerland and United Kingdom only need a passport or ID card to enter the Czech Republic. You can check whether you need a visa on the  website of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Czech Republic.

In the Czech Republic, it is generally considered polite to leave a tip of around 5 to 10% of the total bill, if you were satisfied with the service. Czechs most often leave a tip of 20 to 40 CZK (around €0.80 to €1.60).
